“I started fighting at the age of 9, not out of choice, but out of necessity. Where I grew up if you didn’t fight you would become a victim very quickly. This is where boxing came in. I never planned on using it for anything other than self-defense but it quickly became a passion. I grew up in a broken home which wasn’t easy, and fighting became my outlet to get rid of all my anger and frustration, that was my motivation when I was younger.
Boxing was my life and eventually, I moved into kickboxing and MMA. These days my inspiration to keep fighting and keep progressing is my son. I want to make the best life possible for all of us so he doesn’t have to go through the same struggles and hard times as I did when growing up. Without him behind me, I wouldn’t have achieved half the things I have done already, and nothing will stand in the way of me striving for a better life for my son.
